Hello hello, friends.
We began talking about lovingkindness earlier this week, focusing on ourselves to start. (If you’re not part of our daily meditations and would like to be, I hope you’ll find consider subscribing.) We’re continuing that practice today.
I think that beginning our practice of lovingkindness with ourselves before moving on to others helps us to do what can be so difficult in so many ways: care for ourselves. We are not talking about a selfish act, but one that helps us grow and allows us to connect more deeply with others as we move through this practice. It is so easy to neglect our own needs, to not listen to ourselves. But you are worthy to be cared for and listened to and I hope you feel that a bit today if you haven’t been lately.
Tomorrow, we’ll finish up our time with the focus on ourselves with a bit of an extended practice. We’ll then move into our next focus: our loved ones.
Thank you for being here. 💗 Take care.
