One of the things that has been really wonderful about concentrating on lovingkindness practice in the daily meditations has been returning each day to a sense of connection.
My experiences in the world, especially lately, have felt like encouragement to disconnect. But every breath can be something that brings us back. When I’ve been on retreat, it’s the thing I most come away with: a sense of connection and care for everything. I don’t think it’s coincidence that theme keeps arising. I think retreat is what I need to remember sometimes.
This moment is full of connection and we don’t need to go away on retreat to find it. What’s here with the breath? What’s here in connection for you today?
